Sounds like the start of a great story…and it is! This afternoon Chestermere turned on the charm for a gathering of community. There was a guy selling honey, a lady with unique jewelry, food trucks, bouncy castles, music and of course, Captain Jack Sparrow and a Duck…perfect.
What better way to spend an afternoon then with a community. Each sharing their uniqueness in one space. Conversations & laughter with no pretense of who we are or what we are about. A quick scan of the crowd and you could identify with the young or the young at heart. There were business owners, Moms & Dads, kids, curious on-lookers, the well-dressed, the uniquely dressed. What a neat moment!
Events like this one in Chestermere are abundant in Calgary, we just need to look. Sure, events like this one may seem corny or a bit out of your interest level, but why not. This event & others like this are inspired to bring together groups of people, community. Maybe this one action of togetherness may help us all realize that our big, big world isn’t as big and intimidating as it seems.
